German luxury goods brand Montblanc has added a new design to its Bonheur Collection of writing instruments, especially for women.

Called the Montblanc Bonheur line, the writing instruments hark back to an era when women abandoned the corseted and restrained elegance of the 1920s for more comfortable and simple styles.

Available either as a fountain pen, roller ball or ballpoint pen, the pieces feature an alluring shape augmented by the shiny precious black and white resin which is paired with platinum fittings.

On the fountain pen, the design of the Au750 handcrafted gold nib features a delicate falling star denoting the name of the instrument which means joy, enduring happiness and luck in French.

The “teardrop clip” with its sensual curves are a nod to Montblanc’s original female lines from the 1920s.
