There were multiple generations of the Pericle, and this is the earlier, produced from 1994. The unique shape of the clip was designed to imitate the helmet of a Greek warrior. (The later Pericle 2001 has chrome trim & section, a more streamlined clip, and different material.) This pen is solid dark blue.
The roller ball can easily be converted into a ballpoint pen. The package includes an extra rollerball refill AND a ballpoint refill with a refill-extender that should be unscrewed, saved & reused (Be careful because these are tiny and very hard to come by). The refill-extender screws onto the back end of any parker-style refill.
