Another in the theme of how writing with a fountain pen has become outdated as a school exercise.  It was obvious before reading that this article came from the UK since Europeans used fountain pens in schools long after we in the colonies.  At least ‘how to use a fountain pen’ was number 1 on their list!

For some reason it was a big achievement to upgrade to a fountain pen. You only used pencils, or ‘handwriting pens’, if your scrawl was so unreadable you couldn’t write legibly with a foundation pen.

Hit university and you’re laughing at how much time you wasted changing the cartridges.
